What this policy covers
Cookies are small values stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage and measurement scripts. This policy covers the current Scan My Pet ID website and Buddy demonstration.
What the demo itself uses
The authored demo does not set application cookies, use local storage for tracking, require a login or operate a shopping basket. Opening and closing the Buddy profile or a demo message changes only the current page state. There are no advertising or remarketing trackers in the demo.
Cloudflare performance measurement
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled on the live domain. Its measurement beacon reports page usage and performance. Cloudflare describes this product as cookie-free and not based on visitor fingerprinting. These measurements are website statistics, not precise finder location and not owner scan notifications.
Security cookies
Cloudflare security features may set a necessary cookie when a security check is triggered; for example, a clearance cookie can record the outcome of a challenge. Such cookies are controlled by the active security feature and may not be set on every visit. The inspected ordinary page response did not set a cookie. The applicable name and expiry can be viewed in your browser’s site-data settings.
Your controls
You can inspect, remove or block cookies using your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking a security cookie may require a security check again or affect access during that check. Location permission is a separate browser control; refusing location does not disable the pet profile, CALL OWNER or SMS OWNER. The current demo never requests location.
